Today I went to a workshop to cut some wood. The workshop is at Faith Acadame.

You might think, "How did you do it all alone?"

Well, I didn't exactly do it all alone. My helpers are my dad, my friend EJ and the shop teacher at Faith, Harold.

First my dad & EJ & I went to the hardware store. Here we are with the materials loaded in the mission FX.

Then Harold helped us cut it with a table saw. Auden helped us too.

Tomorrow we will go back there again to do more cutting & sanding.

The first stage of my project is writing letters.

To whom, you ask?

Well. Well!

It is too long to tell you, I am sorry. But I wrote to family & friends.

I have mailed letters. I have emailed. I have given letters to people who live here in Manila. And I have telephoned people.

This is me delivering letters to the Taytay post office on my bike.  

We got really good responses & you might be one of them. Already I have more than enough for the whole project. We start building tomorrow. Any extra money that comes in will go to other projects to help people. And I will update you on this blog.

I am doing a homeschool project for the little children’s home. I am making toddler beds for Senon, Duday and Marianne.

These are the things I will need for my project:

* One 4-foot-by 4-foot-1/2-inch plywood (enough for three beds)@710

* Wood filler (1 kg Timber Mate, enough for all three beds) @ P437.50
* Sandpaper @ P4.75
* Stain of your choice (1 L of Boysen for all three beds) @ P123.50
* Polyurethane (enough for all three beds) @ P128.00

Each bed will cost about P3,829.50 or 87.13 USD. The whole project will cost P11,488.50 or 261.34 USD.
